Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you work?

We are based out of the Tampa area but also provide service nationwide specializing in multiple site rollouts..

We do. Only our people do the work.  We do not use sub-contractors; this insures you always receive the best finished product on your playground.

  • Playground Rescue is a cosmetic surface restoration service.
  • No playgrounds or equipment are disassembled during this process.
  • We do not perform any structural repairs or replacement of equipment.

Yes.  For outdoor playgrounds, there is a minimum application temperature of 50 degrees and dry conditions that are a must for proper restoration of any surface.  Please take this into account when scheduling our services based on your geographic location.

No.

This is a true color restoration process, we do not use a flash-heat process, as it degrades the structure and does not last.

Playground Rescue guarantees that your restored plastics will not noticeably fade for 3 YEARS from the date of restoring.  Depending on geographic location, outdoor playgrounds generally reach 5 years before any fading begins again. Indoor playgrounds last well past 5 years.

Guarantee excludes neglect, physical damage, including that caused by vandalism (keys), acts of nature, the use of solvents, pressure washers at close range, or abrasives on the substrate surfaces.  Guarantee is limited to fading plastics only.

Yes.  Once restored, your playground will withstand all weather conditions and temperatures. It will also endure the usual contact of kids’ clothing, including buttons or rivets from jeans. Deliberate use of a sharp metal object will scratch the surface just like any other (vandalism).

Playground Rescue is part of a family of companies that have been restoring plastics since 1991. See www.gogsr.com or www.ironhideseating.com  Our processes have never harmed any plastic substrate. Our restoration services can easily more than double the expected life of the playground.

Yes, provided the equipment is structurally intact. The common plastic substrates used in playgrounds (PPO & PPE) can last for decades.
